Snow Removal Program

The Maintenance Staff will begin salting and cindering operations as soon as deemed necessary. Once the snow/ice accumulates to approximately three (3) inches or more, the snow-plowing operations will begin.

As Mother Nature reminded all of us last year, there isn't always a warming or melting period in between snow storms. In order to provide space for these additional snow falls, residential areas will be plowed from curb to curb and rural roads will be plowed to edge of the road. Cars that are parked on streets or cul-de-sacs prevent us from being able to do this. Whenever possible, please park vehicles in your driveway.

DO NOT push snow out onto roads at any time. This creates hazardous conditions for all vehicles.

When clearing snow from your driveway and standing at your house looking down your driveway, pile snow to the right of your driveway. PennDOT suggest clearing an area of roadway to the left of your driveway. This will give the snow a place to empty before reaching your driveway.

PennDOT has available a Winter Services Guide which is available at Their webpage provides winter driving tips as well as safety laws. We appreciate your cooperation.
